The 2020 Badge Summit will now be Virtual

The Badge Summit is and will always be designed with a user-centered focus. The extraordinary moment and circumstances surrounding the Coronavirus spread has forced us to realize that this includes not just our attendees’ learning, but also your well-being.
Thus, we are announcing that the 2020 Badge Summit will become a virtual conference, hosted online on June 25-26, 2020
In the face of a possible global pandemic, many people and organizations are boldly and decisively acting to leverage their influence in ways that may help limit exposure to, and spread of the virus. While there is also an abundance cautioning against overreaction, we have seen the consequences of underestimating the seriousness of Coronavirus. This is a difficult decision but we would rather be accused of overzealous risk aversion than reckless lack of consideration for your health.
What this means
Things are moving quickly and details still need to be determined. For right now, it means that learning and sharing will be fully accessible online. We will coordinate with speakers, presenters and sponsors to create an experience that continues to offer opportunities for learning and colliding with others who are passionate about changing the world.
If by May 1st, the situation improves and we see a return to normalcy with air travel, hotels, and guidance regarding large gatherings of people, then we will plan to accommodate a face-to-face convening through an informal unconference that compliments the virtual conference program.
Perspective presenters: Please rethink your proposals to plan for sharing your ideas virtually.
Attendees: Registration for the virtual conference is $36– a number intended to represent a celebration of life. This rate is good through June 1. 2020. If the face-to-face unconference gathering at OCDE is possible on June 27th, it will be included in the $36 registration. We will contact everyone who has already registered via email to handle refunds.
